This is a very good ISP . For $6.95 a month this ISP can't be beat. The HiSpeed service also works great. Highly recommended.

I had paid $20 per month for a local isp for years before trying basicisp. I am getting better service now for $7.50 than I did at $20.00! If you need a simple dial-up connection with ample online time, can do without extra mailboxes and other bells and whistles, give them a try! I used the extra money to sign up for Netflix; now I've got internet service and movies for less than I was paying for my previous isp.

Even though ISP Rank shows Basic.isp as "unlimited access", buried *way* down in the "Terms of Service" is a limitation of 200 hours per calendar month. I got hit when my account suddenly said "invalid login". Called their service number and the first person could not discover that I had run out of hours. Had to pass me to a technical type who *did* determine that was the reason. My quick fix was to order a second account at $1.00 and use it for the rest of the month. Then I found another ISP that doesn't have the 200-hour limit! But their connectivity and speeds were just fine. Without the 200-hour limit, I would happily continue with them.
